How To Create 'Dengue Mosquitoes Awareness' in India?

$

The Following is a List of 'Infectious and Dreadful'-  Diseases Transmitted by 'Female' Mosquitoes:
  •  Malaria- A dreadful disease causing death of human beings, especially, children below 5 years of age-A species -‘Genus Anopheles’-Female Mosquitoes carry  the 'Malaria Parasites;/Viruses and transmit the disease.
  •  Filaria-  A painful and the most discomforting disease causing swelling of several parts of the human body, especially the legs, which is called 'Elephantiasis'- meaning ‘Elephant Leg Disease' is transmitted by a certain species of 'Female Mosquitoes', which carry the‘Filarisis-Worms’/ Parasites and transmit the disease.
    Filaria or Elephantiasis
  • Chikunguniya,
  • Yellow Fever and
  • Dengue Fever
The viral diseases, 'Chikunguniya', 'Yellow Feve'r and the 'Dengue Feve'r are transmitted by a species of Female Mosquitoes known as ‘Aedes Aegypti’.
Dengue Mosquito-Aedes Aegypti

Normally, both the Male and the Female Mosquitoes live on 'Nector'- from flowers and  vegetables as their food.

However, the Female Mosquitoes prefer to take in Blood of Animals and Human- Beings, for better Egg Production.

Mosquitoes have a tiny  'needle' shaped 'straw'-like sting in their mouth to enable them to pierce the skin of animals and human beings for drinking their favourite food-'blood'.

Mosquitoes inject their sting into the skin of their 'Compulsory Blood Donor' and send in their saliva and suck back, when  blood of their hosts flows into their stomach.

In the process of mosquitoes' drinking blood, the infected viruses from their hosts get into them.

Somehow, the infected viruses do not affect the life and activities of the  mosquitoes.

As and when the mosquitoes 'bite' other persons,  the infected viruses enter into their  blood streams from the mosquitoes and cause the infected diseases.

The Deadly Diseases Transmitted by the Mosquitoes may be avoided by Escaping from Mosquitoes'- Bites by :
  • Using nets on the windows and in beds in the houses,
    Mosquito Net in Bed
    Mosquito Net in Window
  • Applying Mosquito Repellent Sprays / Creams over the exposed parts of the body of adults, especially kids,
    Mosquito Repellent Creams
  • Using Fired-Smoking Mosquito Coils and Electronic Mosquito-Repellents  in houses and
    Mosquito Coils
    Electronic Mosquito Repllent
  • Using Electronic Mosquitoes'- killing bats in houses.
    Mosquito Bat
To eradicate the dreadful diseases transmitted by the mosquitoes, an awareness of ‘Eradication of Mosquitoes’ in and around the houses, must be created in every house hold and in every person in India.

It had been believed for a long time, that the mosquitoes breed on long-time-stagnant waters on the road sides and on stagnant / blocked  open drainage on the streets and roads.

Nowadays, in many places of India, the open drainage are replaced by underground- drainage systems.

Stagnant waters are found only on bad and damaged roads and the sides of the roads, not cleaned for a long time.

Also, the Municipal and Corporation authorities have been frequently spraying 'disinfectants'  on the  stagnant waters to eradicate mosquitoes.
Stagnant Water on Roads
Now, it has been found that the mosquitoes, especially the‘Dengue Mosquitoes’ breed on fresh water standing still in and around the houses.

The Corporations in India have been campaigning on the 'Eradication of Mosquitoes' in and around the houses.

According to the Corporation Authorities, there are 'a number of places and things' to be taken care of  in and around houses, wherein fresh water would stand still in the open space and provide breeding places for mosquitoes, especially, the 'Dengue Mosquitoes'.

The following are some of the above such things:
  • Old Stone Grinders lying in the backyard or in front of the houses in which water would stand still,
    Stone Grinder in Open
  • Buckets and Water Drums kept with stored water kept open,
    Buckets with Water Open
  • Flower/Plant Pots kept  in the balconies. terraces and verandas of houses to have home-gardens,
    Open Flower Pot with Water
  • Cement tubs/tanks with water kept open,
    Open Water Tank in Cement
  • Used 'disposable'Plastic/Paper cups thrown around the house and in streets, wherein water would stand still,
  • Tender-Coconut Shells andCoconut Shells, providing space for fresh water to stand still in open space,
    Tender Coconut Shells
    • Old/Used Four Wheeler-Tyres kept slanting which would provide space on the inner side, for fresh water to stand still,
      Old Tyres in Open
    • Water-Drain Trays on the rear bottom side of the  Refrigerators kept inside the kitchens and halls in the houses,  wherein fresh water would stand still and
Refrigerator Water Drain Tray in the Backside
    • Open-Over-head Water Tanks in the Terraces of Houses and Apartments.
Recently, the Chennai City, two of the City Corporations Authorities (An Assistant Engineer and a Sanitary Inspector) wearing mosques and with make-ups as ‘demons’have been coming in various areas, such as streets, houses, parks and schools of the Chennai City. They call themselves ad the ‘Dengue Demons’
    Chennai City Corporation Dengue Demons
Also, camps for creating ‘Dengue Awareness’  have been organised at various public places such as  Santhome- ‘Marina’Beach and Besant Nagar-‘Elliot’s’ Beach  and the 'M.A.Chidambaram Stadium', during a recent Cricket Match.

The ‘Dengue Demons’ have been distributing pamphlets regarding- ‘Awareness of Eradication of Dengue Mosquitoes’.
    Mosquitoes Awareness Phamphlets

Trichy City Corporation Phamphlet on Mosquitoes Awareness
The 'Dengue Demons'  have been   advising  and asking  the people to remove old pots, old  bottles, old tyres, coco nut shells, tender coconut shells and any other item kept in open spaces, which would enable fresh  water to stand still thereon and provide good  breeding places for the ‘Dengue Mosquitoes’.

Also, people are advised to periodically check the rear side of their Refrigerators and ensure that the De-frosting- drain trays are not having water standing on them.

Though it is advised to have plants of flowers and vegetables in mud/plastic flower/plant pots, it must be ensured that water is not standing on the pots which would be used by the mosquitoes as their breeding places.

The buckets, drums and water storage vessels with water must be kept closed, to avoid breeding of mosquitoes on them.

Dengue Mosquitoes and Dengue Fever Awareness must be created in our Society and Homes:

Dengue Fever  is a dreadful disease, causing even death.
It is transmitted by 'Dengue Mosquitoes'.
We must take steps to eradicate them by eradicating their possible habitats in and around our houses.
We must ensure that there is no space in the open for fresh water to remain standing still in and around our house.
We must ourselves escape from and save our kids from the dangerous 'Mosquitoes Bites' and
    Be 'Dengue Free'.

Why Do Christians in India Pray for the Souls of the Deceased Relatives and Others?

The Following are the Beliefs of the Christians about Birth, Death and Life After Death of Human Beings:

According to Christianity, the human beings have been created by God the Almighty, out of out of mud or dust by giving a soul and blowing His spirit.
As per the Christian Doctrine the  'soul is immortal and there is 'No Re-Incarnation or Re-Birth' and a Soul would be born only once and die only once..

When a human being dies, the 'Aavi'/ 'Spirit' goes back to the 'Creator-God the Almighty' and the Body goes back to the original place from where it had come, the mud or dust and the 'Soul' would be dealt with separately.

In general, according to Christianity, the soul would go to one of the two eternal places of 'Heaven' or 'Hell'  after death.

For the Good Deeds / 'Punniyams' done during the life-time, the souls would get an ‘Eternal Reward’ and enter ‘Heaven’ –the abode of God the Almighty, where the Son of God, Jesus Christ would be seated on the right of His Father-God.
For the sins / ‘Paavams’ and 'Eternal and Unforgivable Sins' the souls would get ‘Eternal Punishment’ and would be trashed into the ‘Hell’, the abode of Satan and its group of rebelled angels.

Some sections of the Christianity, such as the :
    • Roman Catholics,

    • Anglican Christians,
    • Lutheran  Christians,
    • Orthodox Christians,
    • 'Methodists' Christians,
    • The 'Free' Christians and
    • The Later Days Saints (LDS) Christians
believe that there is an Intermediate Place called the 'Purgatory', where the souls of the deceased persons would be kept for temporary and minor punishments for the ordinary pardonable sins committed during the life time and purification.
According to the above belief, the souls would be placed in the ‘purgatory’, before they get the eternal bliss of 'Heaven'.

Prayers for the deceased souls in Christianity:

The Christians who pray for the souls in the purgatory would remember, not only the souls of their relatives, but also all the souls for which, nobody would make prayers for repose.

As it will not be known to any as to which souls would be in 'Purgatory', which souls would have been thrown down into the 'Hell' and which souls would have entered the ‘Heaven’, the Christians usually pray for the repose of the souls of all the deceased.

The day, on which common and collective prayers for the deceased souls are performed, is called the ‘All Souls Day', observed on the 02nd November every year, by the Christians who believe in the doctrine of 'Purgatory'.

The All Souls Day is observed on the 02nd of November every year by most of the Christians, who believe in the doctrine of ‘Purgatory’, and repose of the souls there by the prayers and penances done by the living Christians, for remembering and praying for close relatives, relatives, friends and all the deceased human beings, not remembered and prayed for by any.

On the All Souls Day they clean the cemeteries of their relatives and decorate them with flowers &  garlands and light candles and incenses and offer prayers and masses for the repose of the souls.
Christians who do not believe in the Prayers for the souls of the Deceased:

Many the ‘Protestant’ Christians, especially, the ‘Pentaghasts’ do not believe in the doctrine of ‘Purgatory’ and they believe that the souls of the deceased would be kept in a sleeping statue / 'paradesh' in a common place without either reward of heaven or punishment of hell.

On the Second coming of the Son of God Jesus Christ on the ‘Final Judgement Day’ the souls of those who have already died and kept sleeping in pardesh  in a common place and the souls of all those who live at the time of the Final Judgement would be resurrected and transformed instantly and get either ‘eternal reward’-heaven or ‘eternal punishment’-hell.
According to such Christians, and every man and woman born on this earth must be re-born by 'immersion in water-baptism' by accepting Jesus Christ as their own Savior and they would be redeemed prayers, masses and penances of any kind after their death would not be of any benefit.

It is their belief that by the prayers said, masses performed and penances undertaken for the repose of the souls suffering in the ‘purgatory’, the punishments and sufferings of the souls at the purgatory would be reduced and the souls would be ready for entering ‘Heaven’.

The following are the beliefs of the Hindus in India about the Birth, Life, Death and Life After Death of Human Beings:-

The human beings according to the Hindus, as in some other religions, are made of the following 3 basic ingredients the:
    • Soul or Athma,
    • Spirit or Aavi (Life Force) and
    • Sareer or Body.

According to the Hindu Religion the human ‘Sareer’ or Body is made up of the following 5 Basic Elements of nature called:

    • Earth or Mud,
    • Vayu or Air,
    • Jal or Water,
    • Agnil or Fire,
    • Akasha or Ether
According to the Hindus, the ‘Athma’ or Soul of the human being is Immortal from the time they get created by the creator-God, 'Brahma'.
The Hindus believe that there would be Seven spans of Life called 'Genmams'/ 'Avatharams' or Incarnations.
Some people would say that the number of incarnations would be unlimited, varying from case to case.

At the end of the last such incarnation, the soul would attain the state of 'Shanti' or 'Peace'.

Death is only a process of disintegration the above 3 basic ingredients of Soul, Spirit and Sareer.

After death of human beings the above 5 ingredients of the 'Sareer' or body would go back to their origins.

The immortal  soul would get a re-incarnation in some other body of either a human being or any other living being, such as animal, bird, insect or reptile etc., depending upon the Will of the God of Creation- Brahma.

Some of the souls would attain the state of 'Shanthi' / 'Mukthi' or Repose, relieved of further re-incarnation/s.

The 'Mukthi' or 'Re-incarnation /s of the souls would be decided by the Creator God Brahma.

The mukthi or reincarnation would be based on the 'Punniyams' or the Good Deeds doneand the 'Paavams' or the Evil deeds committed by the human beings in the previous incarnation or birth, from the records of 'Pavams and Punniams' or Good Deeds and Evil Deeds, maintained by 'Yama' assisted by 'Chithra Gupta'.
The Hindus pray for 'shanthi' or  the repose of the soul of the deceased people by chanting 'mantras' or prayers.

The Prayers of the Hindus for the Souls of the Deceased:

The 'Funeral Prayers' are chanted on behalf of the relatives of the deceased people of the Hindu Religious elders and 'Gurus' or Priests.

Verses from the epic ‘Mahabharata’ in Sanskrit, called 'Mantras' or 'slogans' are recited in the Funeral Prayers for the dead souls of the Hindus, called 'Thithi' for the attainment of 'Shanthi' of the souls of the deceased.
The Hindus would for the repose the soul of the deceased /’Atma Shanti’ of  the dead persons, starting from the day of death on various days such as on the 16th day, 40th day and the Anniversary day/s etc.

However, the status of the souls of the deceased, whether they have attained 'Shanthi' would not be known to the other people living. So, it is a custom in Hindus to wish and pray that the deceased soul to attain 'Shanthi'.

The following are the Beliefs of Muslims in India about Birth, Life, Death and Life After Death:-

The 'Muslims' believe that human beings are created by God the Almighty called 'Allah', who has no image. Islam views death to be a natural threshold to the next stage of existence.
    Indian Muslim

Islamic doctrine holds that human existence continues after the death of the human body in the form of spiritual and physical resurrection.
    Muslim burial
There is a direct relation between conduct on earth and the life beyond. The afterlife will be one of rewards and punishments which is commensurate with earthly conduct.
    Islam

Paradise/Heaven and Hell which are Real and Eternal will be the final dwelling places for the faithful and the damned after the Last Judgment.

A Day will come when God will resurrect and gather the first and the last of His creation and judge everyone justly.  People will enter their final abode, Hell or Paradise/Heaven.
    Heaven Or Hell in Muslims

Muslims believe that immediately after death, a person enters an intermediate phase of life between death and resurrection.

Resurrection will be preceded by the end of the world, when Allah / God will command a magnificent angel to blow the Horn.

At its first blowing, all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth will fall unconscious, except those spared by God.

The earth will be flattened, the mountains turned into dust, the sky will crack, planets will be dispersed, and the graves overturned.

People will be resurrected into their original physical bodies from their graves, thereby entering the third and final phase of life.

The Horn will blow again upon which people will rise up from their graves, resurrected! God will gather all humans, believers and the impious, jinns, demons, even wild animals. It will be a universal gathering.

The angels will drive all human beings naked, uncircumcised, and bare-footed to the Great Plain of Gathering.

People will stand in wait for judgment and humanity will sweat in agony.

The righteous will be sheltered under the shade of God’s Magnificent Throne.

When the condition becomes unbearable, people will request the prophets and the messengers to intercede with God on their behalf to save them from distress.

The balances will be set and the deeds of men will be weighed and the disclosure of the Records of the deeds performed in this life will follow.

The one who will receive his record in his right hand will have an easy reckoning and he will happily return to his family.

However, the person who will receive his record in his left hand would wish he were dead as he will be thrown into the Fire.

Then God will judge all His creations and they will be reminded and informed of their good deeds and sins.

The faithful will acknowledge their failings and be forgiven, while the disbelievers will have no good deeds to declare because an unbeliever is rewarded for them in this life.

Some scholars are of the opinion that the punishment of an unbeliever may be reduced in lieu of his good deeds, except the punishment of the great sin of disbelief.

The 'Siraat' is a bridge that will be established over Hell extending to Paradise and anyone who is steadfast on God’s religion in this life will find it easy to pass it.

Sometimes, the Senior Citizens  meet with road accidents, such as 'hit and run' by two wheeler, four wheeler vehicles, auto rickshaws and even by bicyles and fall on the road.

Sometimes they swoon and fall down due to giddiness, caused by their old-age, hot sun and  their chronic diseases such as ‘Diabetes’’/ Blood Sugar and /or Heart Diseases, especially, ‘Coronary Artery Disease’/CAD  or ‘Angina Pectoris’ and rarely due to ‘Fits’ etc.

Reception of the Gold Schemes launched by the Government of India:

There will be a loss of Gold of 20 to 30 per cent of the weight of the Jewels, as the jewels will be melted at the Certified Centers at the cost of the Depositors.

The conventional Bank Deposits offering Interest at the rate of 8 per cent and above will be more attractive than the above Gold Deposit / Gold Bonds Schemes.

According to the Union Government of India, as the women of India have been fond of acquiring gold for jewellery and as investment they are led by the policies of ‘Graha Shashtra’ /Home Economics, whereas, by switching over to the new Gold Schemes since launched will take them to understand and follow ‘Arthashashstra’/Economics for and of the nation.

Why should the Consumers of LPG Cooking Gas in India ‘Give Up’ the ‘Gas Subsidy’ ?

‘Subsidy on LPG Cooking Gas’ given by the Union Government of India:

In India, the following 3 Petroleum Companies are supplying LPG Cooking Gas to the consumers:
              • Indian Oil Corporation,
              • Hindustan Petroleum and
              • Bharat Petroleum.
The actual cost of LPG cooking gas in cylinder of gross weight of 14.2 kgs is higher than the price paid by the consumers, as the ‘LPG Cooking Gas’ has been provided to them at a subsidized price which is almost half of the actual cost / price of the same.

Until very recently, many of the consumers of cooking gas have not been aware of the fact that they are getting a ‘Gas Subsidy’ as and when they book for and purchase a refill of the cooking gas.

Because, the benefit of the ‘Gas Subsidy’ had been given by the Union Government of India indirectly, by paying to the cooking gas company, and the consumers had been paying only the ‘subsidized price’ of the same.

The difference in the actual 'Market Price' and the 'Subsidized Price' of the LPG Cooking Gas has been / is borne by the Union Government of India, as the ‘Gas Subsidy’.

Direct Benefit Transfer /DBT Scheme of 'Cooking Gas Subidy':

The Union Government of India wanted to give the benefit of the ‘Gas Subsidy’ directly to the consumers, for various reasons, including that the consumers must realize that they are given the benefit of subsidy of cooking gas, whenever they receive a refill of LPG cooking gas from the gas companies.

So, the system of ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’/ DBT system has been introduced.

According to the 'Direct Benefit Transfer /DBT System' for getting the LPG gas subsidy, the consumers have to link their Bank Accounts with the related LPG gas connection.

On joining the DBT scheme successfully, the registered bank account of the consumer would be credited with two months subsidy in advance, say Rs 568/- and on further procurement of refills the actual subsidy amount will be credited after the consumer purchases the gas refill on payment of the 'Market Price' of the cooking gas.

The subsidy of the LPG cooking gas will be credited to the registered Bank Account for the purpose.

Whether it is 50% or less of the market price of the cooking gas, an amount of subsidy is received by the consumers, which can be felt physically in their bank accounts.

‘Give Up ‘Gas Subsidy’ to Help the Poor Indians Below the Poverty Line /BPL:

Surprisingly, after allowing the consumers to get the gas subsidy after a long and tedious or easy procedure (according to the Government and Gas companies), the Union Government of India has been advising the consumers to 'GIVE UP' the 'gas subsidy.

The Union Government of India has been advising the LPG gas consumers through the cooking gas companies to give up the subsidy amount to enable the Government to utilize the funds for the benefit of the people below the poverty line /BPL.
Though, getting the gas subsidy had been and has been a step by step procedure involving approaching the gas company and / or the bank with form/s to be filled in with photocopies of original gas connection receipt, Address Proof and Personal Id Proof etc., it is so much easy to opt for 'giving up' the gas subsidy, in a one click or to be precise a '0'/zero click, while trying to book for refill online.

There are many cases of complaint that they had given their consent for 'giving up' the gas subsidy, even without their consent or knowledge, by pressing '0'/'zero' wrongly.

The reversal of wrong/unintentional 'giving up' of gas subsidy are taking some time for the gas companies

According to the LPG cooking Gas companies in India, about 3.16 Lakhs of LPG cooking gas consumers have given up the subsidy, in response to the Union Government of India / PM Narendra Modi’s request to do so.

The following are the ‘District wise’ number of LPG cooking gas consumers who have given up the gas subsidy in the State of Tamilnadu:-

Name of the District / Number of LPG cooking gas consumers Given up Subsidy (2 06 870):
              • Chennai / 60 000,
              • Tiruvallur  / 21 000,
              • Coimbatore / 21 000,
              • Cuddalore / 20 000,
              • Tiruchirappalli / 17 500,
              • Salem / 16 000,
              • Tiruppur / 16 000,
              • Kanchipuram / 13 300,
              • Vellore / 9 600,
              • Tiruvannamalai / 7 500,
              • Ramanathapuram / 3 500 and
              • Tiruvarur / 1 470
              • Other Districts / 1.1 Lakhs

The LPG cooking gas companies have been saying that the number of consumers opting to give up the subsidy is increasing.

Awareness created on ‘Give Up Gas Subsidy’ by the Government of India:

The Honorable Prime Minister of India, Sri.Narendra Modi has been repeatedly advising the Indian Consumers to ‘Give Up’ their gas subsidy for the benefit of the people below the poverty line/BPL.

Also, there have been reports of celebrities such as Cinema Actors like the ‘Big B’ of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan, giving up the gas subsidy to encourage ‘giving up’ gas subsidy by the consumers.

People of India are aware of the fact that,  some of the cinema actors in India whose salary per movie has been  in many ‘C’s and not in ‘L’s, as it had been long ago.

The celebrity actors act as the ‘Ambassadors’, perhaps fpree of cost, for the Government of India’s  noble cause / idea of ‘giving up’ the gas subsidy.

Due to lapse of time people tend to forget that many celebrity actors and actresses had promoted the '2 Minutes' Noodles, which was reported to be injurious to health and their feedback on their appearing in the related ads.

Actually, the actors may not know the actual cost of LPG cooking gas or the gas subsidy they have given up.

It is similar to an actual incident reported by a 'Bank Marketing Manager' who  approached the Telugu Super Star  ANR to receive their Bank’s Credit Card and pose for the ‘Advertisement’ of the Credit Card.

The actor ANR had told the bank officer that he never carries a purse and his financial dealings were all looked after by his Personal Assistants and Family members and if he posed for the Credit Card it would not be realistic.

The actors and celebrities in India may not know the actual cost, subsidized cost and ‘gas subsidy’ etc., in view of their status etc. In fact they may not carry a purse, cash, Debit Cards, Credit Cards etc., when everything would be taken care of by their Personal Assistants / Secretaries and by the members of their families.

Reactions of the Indian Consumers of the 'Giving Up' the 'Cooking  Gas Subsidy':

There are multiple reactions of the consumers in the matter of giving up the gas subsidy for the benefit of people in the below poverty level /BPL.

The Union Government of India, wanted to provide 50% of the total cost of the LPG cooking gas as subsidy to the consumers, whereas, the subsidy portion would be shared equally by the Government and the Gas companies.

However, the actual amount of subsidy amount given to the consumer is less than 50% of the cost.

The subsidy given up by the cooking gas consumers would be deducted from the amount payable by the Union Government of India to the consumers and it is difficult to assume that the amount would benefit people in the below poverty line.

According to the consumers, nobody can give a guarantee that the given up subsidy would be used for providing gas to the people in the BPL level, as there are many ‘Freebies’ for them, including ‘Free Gas Stove’ etc.

It is indeed a good cause of giving up ‘LPG cooking Gas subsidy’ by the affordable consumers in India, for the so called benefit of the people in the BPL.

However, the people in the BPL can be looked after better by specific schemes of the Union Government of India and the State Governments in India.

Some consumers feel that the Members of Parliament/MPs and Members of the Legislative Assemblies / MLAs should give up their gas subsidy and create awareness of the 'noble act'.

The fact is that  they  cannot be compared with ordinary consumers in the matter, apart from other matters, as they would come under as Special Category of consumers /citizens of India, as long as they continue as ‘Law Makers’.

The benefits received by them, or their  cost to the Government of India is an exclusively topic of interest.
Nowadays, due to the impact of ‘Internet’ and the social media, people are aware of the same.

It is notable that as the ‘freebies’ given by many State Governments are dependent on the income from the sale of liquors, apart from the revenues by way of Direct and Indirect Taxes and other Duties etc.

India is not in a position to fulfill the motto / promise given in the Constitution of India, (Under Article 47) which envisages that the states in India shall endeavor to bring about ‘Prohibition’ of ‘Intoxicating  Liquors’ which are injurious to health, and curtail the use of liquors /alcohol in India, except for ‘Medicinal purposes.
Recently, the Union Government of India is taking steps to cut the ‘Gas Subsidy’ to the consumers having Gross Annual Income of Rs 10 Lakhs and above.

Under the above net / filter, only the so called ‘Techies’ / IT professional would be trapped, whereas, many businessmen and others earning more than Rs 10 Lakhs per annum would not be covered under the same.

The fact that, the so called cream layer of the society earning Rs 10 Lakhs and above per annum, may not have ‘Take Home Pay’ of even 40 % of their ‘gross income’, in view of their ‘EMI’s towards ‘Personal Loans’ and ‘Housing Loans’ and even Outside Loans, such as Loan against Jewels etc.

In the opinion of many consumers in India, the Union Government of India may completely stop the cooking gas subsidy, instead of advising for ‘giving up’.

All the subsidies given by the Union Government of India and all the  ‘Freebies’ given by the State Governments in India must be stopped,  because anything given ‘Free’ of cost, whether subsidy or ‘Freebies’, will be eagerly received by both the ‘Haves’ and ‘Have - Nots’, which is but natural human tendency.

And good viable schemes may be framed by the Governments in India to help people who are really in thbe Below Poverty Line / BPL, enabling the Direct Benefit Transfer /DBT to them.

In summary, it appears that the Union Government of India will sooner or later completely stop the 'Cooking Gas Subsidy' to all.

As it is only a '0'/'Zero' click away, be proud to 'GIVE UP' the 'Cooking Gas Subsidy', before it is automatically taken out from you, or Wait for some more time and enjoy the fruits of the gas subsidy and be 'SELFISH'.

In India, it is recently reported that in the past 7 or 8 months, ‘Intolerance’ has been increasing and the ‘Freedom of Speech’ and basically the ‘Freedom of Expression’ has been decreasing.
              Increasing Intolerance in India
The freedom of expression  by the 'Indian Journalists' and common men and women, through media like ‘Newspapers’, ‘Televisions’ and ‘Social Medias’ via ‘internet’s ‘facebook’ and ‘whatsapp’ etc.,are said to be controlled /curtailed by the Union Government of India and the State Governments in India.

It is notable that curtailing the freedom of expression via 'Social Media' was started earlier, even in and  by Government of  Indian National Congress ( of Sonia Gandhi /Manmohan Singh/Kabil Sibal)  when some of the innocent Indians were arrested for 'Liking' some messages in the social forums like 'Facebook', 'objectionable to the Government.

Freedom of Expression in India Controlled
The increasing ‘intolerance’ and the decreasing ‘freedom of expressions’ in India are said to be reflected by the following :
              • The speeches made by the Ministers of the Central and the State Governments in India, including the Prime Minister of India,Narendra Modi.
                PM Narendra Modi
              • The brutal murders of 3 Indian writers at various places and at various times:
Narendra Dabhokar-Marathi Writer, who was murdered in Pune, Maharashtra on 20th August 2013 at the age of 67 years,
              Narendra Dabholkar
Govind Pansare-Marathi Writer belonging to Communist Party of India who along with his wife was shot by unidentified gunmen on 16th February 2015 in Mumbai, Maharashtra and died on 20th February 2015 at the age of 81 years
              Govind Pansare
M.M.Kalburgi- Kannada Writer, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen  in Dharwad, Karnataka, on 30th August 2015 at the age of 76 years and
              M.M.Kalburgi
                • Even it is alleged that 'what people should eat' and 'what not to eat' are said to be dictated by the Governments, reflected by the ‘Dadri Mob Lynching Incident’,  in which a 52 year old Mohammed Akhlaq Saifi was killed and his 22 years old son Danish was badly injured by attacks for allegedly having eaten cow’s meat, whereas the meat kept inside the Refrigerator was said to be mutton or beef (meat of buffalo) only.
                  Mohammed Akhlaq Saifi
                Danish
                •  When a Bharathia Janata Party / BJP activist Sudheendra Kulkarni had been by the side of Khurshid Mahmud  Kasuri, a former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, while publishing Kasuri’s book /“Neither a Hawk nor a Dove: An Insider’s Account of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy” at a Press Conference in Mumbai on 12th October 2015, reportedly, the face and the body of Sudheendra Kulkarni  were blackened by flashing black ink by ‘Shiv Sena’ activists, who opposed the publishing of the book of the Pakistani in India, even though Susdheendra Kulkarni also was from BJP,
Sudheendra Kulkarni with Blackened Face with Kurshid Mahmud Kasur

                • Instant -Arrest/s of persons expressing against the policies and the activities of the Governments, such as the arrest of the 'Folk Singer' -'Trichy Woraiyur (Marudhandaakkurichy) Kovan' in the State of Tamilnadu under charges of 'Sedition' etc.for his songs against the Tamil Nadu State Government's 'Liquiors Sale' by Tamilnadu State Marketing Committee/ 'TASMAC'and
                • Recently, the popular Tamil Cinema Lyricist Vairamuthu was summoned by the Madras High Court in a 'Suo Motu Contempt Proceedings' against him initiated by an' intolerant Film Financier', as the Lyricist  had allegedly  passed some damaging comments on the 'Judges of the High Court' in a Public Speech.
To show their protest against the inaction /silence of the  Government of India and the 'Sahitya Akademi' in the matters of the murders of the Indian writers and in the matter of 'increasing intolerance' and the 'decreasing-Freedom of Expression' prevailing in India, more so, in the present Government of PM Narendra Modi / BJP:-
                  • Many Indian writers who had received ‘Sahitay Akedemi Awards’ for their contributions to Indian Literature and

have returned back the awards received by them.

Before going into a discussion whether, 'Returning of the Valuable Awards' given to them for their talents and achievements,  by the people of India though indirectly, however, chosen by the boards of 'Juries' and approved by and given by the hands of the Government officials, is the right way of protesting against the Government and its bodies, let us have a glance through the 'Lists' of such  'Returns of the Governments Awards' by its recipients.

Here are some relevant quotes for the present day's Democratic India:

The former American President of the United States of America /USA, Woodrow Wilson said, "The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy."

Does the above statement appear to be true about the present 'Democratic' India?

" The difference between a democracy and a dictatorship is that in a democracy you vote first and take orders later; in a dictatorship you don't have to waste your time voting."

"Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty."
