"Autism" is a Neuro-Physiological Disorder, which affects the social and emotional areas of the brain of children.
The “National Trust” is an autonomous organization of the 'Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment', Government of India, set up to find an answer to the worries of the parents of the children with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and multiple disabilities.

Blue is the official colour assigned to ‘autism’ and ‘Light It Up with Blue’ / LIUB is an initiative to light up the buildings throughout the world with blue lights on the World Autism Awareness Day, the 2nd April every year.
In India, many important buildings and monuments in the major cities had been lighted with blue lights in celebration of the 'World Autism Awareness Day', on 2nd April 2014.

- Boys are four times more likely than girls to have autism

- Autism does not discriminate by geography, class or ethnicity.
- There is no medical detection or cure for autism, but early diagnosis and intervention improve outcomes.
