Silver Medalists:
Mr.Vijay Kumar in the ‘Shooting’ in the ‘Men's 25 m rapid fire pistol’ event on 3rd August 2012.
He has become the third man ever representing India to win an individual silver medal after Mr.Norman Pritchard and Mr.Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore AND
Mr.Sushil Kumar in the ‘Wrestling’ in the ‘Men's 66kg Freestyle’ event on 12th August 2012.
He has become the first Indian to win an individual medal in back to back Olympics as
he had won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the same category.

Mr. Gagan Narang in ‘Shooting’ in the ‘Men's 10 m air rifle’ event on 30th July 2012.
He was the first person to win a medal for India in the London Olympics-2012.
Ms.Saina Nehwal in ‘Badminton’ in ‘Women's singles’ event on 4th August 2012.
She is the first Indian to win a medal in Badminton at the Olympics and also
she has become the second Indian woman to win an individual medal after
Ms.Karnam Malleswari's bronze medal in Weightlifting in 2000.
Ms. Mary Kom in ‘Boxing’ in the ‘Women's flyweight’ event on 8th August 2012.
She has become the third Indian woman to win a medal at the Olympic AND
Mr. Yogeshwar Dutt in ‘Wrestling’
in the ‘Men's 60kg Freestyle’ event on 11th August 2012.
He has become the third man to win an individual medal in wrestling after
Mr. K.D.Jadhav – Bronze Medalist in 1952 and
Mr.Sushil Kumar – Bronze Medalist in 2008.
